WHEREAS safety is our prime concern for all the residents of Whitchurch- Stouffville; and, WHEREAS Sidewalks provide a safe area for the walking public away from the faster moving traffic; and, WHEREAS it is the mandate of the Accessibility Advisory Committee to advocate for the persons with a disability; and, WHEREAS outdoor activities such as walking is encouraged and beneficial to everyone’s health. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Whitchurch-Stouffville Accessibility Advisory Committee request Council to consider the inclusion of sidewalks in all future new and updated streetscape projects.
